Memories of the Futurecast Episode 12 ~ The Big Goodbye

Well I've had a long day today , went along with my parents to their Dr. Appointment to meet their PCP so maybe I can start getting paid to be my Mom's Caretaker , but as it turns out , the Dco and or his staff lost the form he needed to sign , so now we gotta call them back to have them fax yet another form over to them .

Then we took my mom back home , then I tagged along with my Dad to Walgreens to drop off the prescriptions and pick up some holiday gift wrap so a certian some one will be able to open the shipping container when it arrives on her doorstep in a week or two .

Then we got back home , I watched Let's make a Deal , while my mom's on call Nurse checked in on her . Then I went to my room and watched Star Trek XI with the audio commentary on , which was quite a laugh lol .

Came out and fixed some dinner , ate , did the dishes , then watched Heroes Thanksgiving special which featured the return of Sylar's mind to his body , and wackiness ensues!

My father checked the mail and I recieved the Star Wreck DVD which my last two posts were about .

I watched Jay Leno , the News , and instead of watching Conan which I generally do , I skipped it to go watch Star Wreck . then I came back out here and posted a gaggle of bloggles .

So , enough yapping bout' my day .....

Today's Memories of the Futurecast is Episode 12 - The Big Goodbye .

Plenty of fun , curses , and stories , so curl up with your big steaming mug of ....

Star Wreck DVD...The Review!

Welp, just got back from watching Star Wreck , and it was pretty cool , it had plenty of funny bits interpersed throughout . It makes ample fun of Star Trek and Babylon 5 . It has some laugh out loud moments in it . It has some huge battle scenes that are remind me of the battles from DS9 , Star Wars and Bab 5 .

The movie is quite enjoyable , there's only one drawback . It is in Finnish with English subtitles , which means you've gotta read and keep up with every bit of it , or if you do like I did , and begin to drift off to sleep , you shut your eyes thinking you can keep up with it and then realize , hey I can't understand a word of what their saying lol .

The movie is unrated , but it does have language , bloody violence , and sexual situations , and a quick shot of nudity .

So if the movie were here in the states , it would most likely get a strong PG-13 or if an uppity censorship worker were grading it a light R .

Not half bad for a fan film effort . I do wish it were dubbed in English though .

I give it 4 stars out of 5 .

Star Wreck DVD

I recently won a contest over on http://www.trekweb.net and the prize I won was the Star Wreck DVD.

Here's the blurb off the back of the case ...

"The Star Trek universe is given a comedy makeover in this unmissable feature-length sci-fi adventure spoof that's packed with spectacular space action, incredible visual effects and hilarious comedy.

Captain James B. Pirk of the Starship C.P.P. Kickstart and his crew, Commander Dwarf and Commander Info, find themselves stranded on 21st Century Earth after an adventure to save the planent from hostile aliens. But as the prospect for humanity looks incresingly bleak, Pirk comes up with a questionable plan to save the future of mankind...

Created by an ingenious band of Star Trek fans this terrific sci-fi comedy will have you gripped all the way through to it's stunning conclusion! Wreck on!"

I'll watch the film in a few days and write up a review . Stay tuned ...

Christmas Shopping done!

Welp, today I woke up around 10 -ish in the morning . I watched Star Trek XI another time through , cause it is simply that good , then got up and ate some lunch after the movie was over and watched the Dallas Cowboys eek out a win against the Washington Redskins .

While watching the game I looked at the sunday newspaper , and I seen Toys R Us is having a sale on Star Trek XI accessories for $11.99 , so I decided to go there after the game to pick myself up a Phaser .

I decided while I was there I'd look at the DST action figures to see if I could find one of the short packed Kang figures , but unfortunately there were no Kangs to be found . But I did manage to find a re-release of TOS's Mr. Spock , so I picked him up .

I found another couple items which I'll not share here as they will spoil the surprise for a certain someone one who I am very fond of who happens to be suscribed to my blog on myspace . ;) (Love ya Molly!) :*

Got back home and took out my phaser and spock figure , the phaser is pretty fun and looks fairly screen accurate to me , and the likeness on Spock is dead on !

Then I found a box suitable to ship the items I got for a certian someone , no all I need to do is buy some x-mas wrap so she'll be able to open the box when it arrives .

I think tomorrow , after I go with my parents to my mother's doctor appointment I'll head some where and find some xmas paper . Then I can wrap the gifts (as best I can) and get them sealed in the box and ready to go .

A pretty nice day I think .

Obligitory Birthday Blog, Part Duex

Well today was my birthday , and since it was a sturday I slept in a bit , until about 9:30 am at least , then got up and ate some breakfast . At 10 am I switched over the TV to my local CW station to catch the new animated movies “Turtles : Forever” which is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie which takes the Turles of this new series and has them interact with the more cartoonish turles of the old show from 1988 . I was a big fan of the Turtles as a kid so for me it was like a trip down memory lanes , and it was quite enjoyable .

Well after the movie was over I fixed myself some lunch and checked my messages , and I discussed todays plans with my parents . I was anxious for the mail to arrive as I am expecting a payment from a guy for 7 of my old Playmates figures . Well the mailman was of course delayed so I went and took a nap for about an hour or two .

When I got back up dad had just walked out the door to check the mail again , and he had a couple of envelopes in his hand , he handed one to me . It was my check for working as an elecion offical on the 3rd of the month .

Originally I had planned to go with my dad to pick up my cake and a frozen pizza from the store , then that check came . So we went and picked up the cake , then I skipped the frozen pizza and asked him to take me to Wal-Mart so I could open a savingaccount at the bank so I could put one dollar in so I can cash checks there, of course it goes without saying I had to listen to their sales pitch .

Finally after half hour I had my cash in hand , dad and I picked up a few grocery items we needed , then we headed down the road to Target . I made my way to the electronics dept and found the shelf with the Star Trek XI film display end cap . I just got paid so I got the one that has a plastic model of the ship as the film case , 2 disc standard DVD with digital copy to download onto your pc, mac, or ipod .

We headed straight home afterwards , and we were all feeling hungry so I phoned Pizza Hut and ordered us dinner then headed into my room with my Star Trek film (after having built the model sitting at my chair) and I began watching it .

We must have caught Pizza Hut at a slow time , because I hadn’t evn gotten out of the prolouge, in fact George Kirk was talking with his wife during the attack when my dad knocks on my bedroom door telling me the pizza arrived , so I paused the film , served some up for everyone and grabbed my plate and a bottle of water and headed back to my room and continued the movie .

Later I served up some cake for everyone and went back and finished the film , then I watched all of disc two with all the behind the scenes and deleted scenes etc .

I must say I love the Klingon Scene and feel they should have kept it in , who knows perhaps one day they’ll give us a recut edition to please us critics lol

Today was an utterly awesome birthday! I am quite pleased!

Obligitory Birthday Blog

27 years ago , today my mother gave birth to me at Osteopathic Hospital in down town Fort Worth . A hospital , which in a the past few years got closed down due to lack of funding .

My Dad , Richard Zachary, who at the time owned and operated his own moving company , Zachary Transfer Co. , was being begged by my older brother Johhny to go to Pizza Hut for lunch or dinner . My dad isn't a fan of pizza because he dislikes cheese , and he also knew Johnny would want to spend more time playing the arcade games than eating his meal , but Dad went ahead and took Johnny to Pizza Hut .

There he was sat down at a table and served by the manager of the store , my mother Susan Demming .

My dad and my mom soon realized there was an attraction and began dating , then it happened .

My mom got pregnant with me . So shortly after this happened my parents got married .

Well the pregnancy was going well until I began growing so large in utero that she couldn't sleep in bed or hold any food down . So dad drove her to the hospital and they asked her OB to induce labor , Because mom was certain she was over due .

The Doc very rudely told her that she wasn't even 8 months along...um..hello ? Idiot! she was there at conception , I think she'd know about the time it happened .

Well they refused to induce , or even give her a C section , so when the time finally arrived and she could barely move , they made her give birth to me naturally .

About 30 hours later , they were pulling me out . I was so large they had to break my right arm to finally get me out .

So they cleaned me up and put an ace bandage on my arm .

I weighed in at 11 lbs. and 8 oz .

Then the Doc had the audacity to tell my mother that another woman was coming in who was as pregnant as my mom had been and he was giving her a C section! Ass!!

My first name Wayne comes from my Dad's best friend at the time , and my middle name Robert comes from my Grandfather on my mom's side .

He was in a military hospital with his pacemaker at the time of my birth and he passed about a week after I was born .

A new development

Shortly after I posted last night's blog , I recieved a message on my www.trektoy.com account . A gentleman there is interested in collecting some old school Star Trek figures by Playmates action figures . He posted a list of them on the forum , guesss what folks? I have 7 of the figures he'd like . So I offered the figures up to him and gave him a price I'd like for them , and he agreed . So as soon as I get his money order , I'll be sending him the figures! So , from that I'll have the scratch to buy Star Trek 11 on DVD in the 2 disc version with the Target exclusive ship case! So yeah my mood is a ton better than it was last night, this'll be my little B-day gift to myself since my 27th is on Saturday! :D

The Wanderer (Freewrite)

I am in a fucked up mood right now , so I thought I'd try to write it out .

A large , black , cloud , rolling with lighting and thunder hovers over a man walking down a desolate road in the country . Any where he walks , destruction is left in his wake.

Any one who tries to grab him pull back burned palms . any one who try to look him in his eyes are turned to stone .

Any one who tries to speak to him are struck dumb . Any one who tries to look him in the eyes are blinded .

Any one offering to listen are deafened by the sound .

His footprints are burning cinders , his heartbeat is that of a 10.0 earthqauke .

When he screams gale force winds escape that out power even a Category 5 hurricane .

He walks the plains and leaves them ashen .

He walks the ice caps and floods the earth with their waters .

He takes a dip in the oceans and it boils .

Soon the planet is covered with the destruction he was wrought , he leaves that planet , once a sparkling blue marble , now an a burned out shell of it’s former self , and head to the next life bearing planets , hitting each , on by one until all the galaxy is smoldering .

He repeats the process until all the universe is set a flame

Memories of the Futurecast Volume 11

Good morning once more my friendly blog followers! It is currently 5:02 am , I've stayed up too late and I am typing with very heavy eyelids so i'll make this short and sweet like .

This week Wil Wheaton reviews "Haven"

It runs for 30 minutes .

Explicit language abounds from the naughty seams .

Oh and he goes nutty with his sound FX board too lol

The rain began to subside as the sun broke through the clouds . It had been raining all night . The ground was soaked , and the breeze added a chill to the air . Kor’Tar awoke inside the tent next to Terla and stretched his weary bones . Another night with no sign of any Targs . Kor’Tar gently woke Terla and they got ready to go on the hunt again .

They exited their tent with spears in hand . They walked 42 meters into the wooded area being very quiet when they both heard russtling in the underbrush to their right . Kor’Tar and Terla both crouched down on their honches and focused their eyes to where the sound was coming from . Out from the underbrush came a young male Targ rooting around for insects on the forrest floor .

Kor’Tar quietly signaled for Terla to go around to the other side of the Targ, she did. They both pulled their spears back and fired. The spears both found their marks on the Targ’s torso and the beast fell to the forrest floor, dead. Kor’Tar and Terla both cheered in jubilation of their victory and kissed each other before tying the hooves of the Targ together and carrying the carcass back to Kor’Tar’s hovercraft on a long carrying stick.

They tied the carcass to the roof of the hovercraft and headed back to B’RoQ Estate home in the V’Ruk Province.

Lady Vemka sat at the dining room table in the family eastate discussing the day’s happenings with Korak and R’yal when their converstaion was interuppted by the sounds of Kor’Tar and Terla both with voices raised in song…

“…and sticky-coniuous and surrounded-continuous by blood , And the River Skral ran crimson red. On the day above all days. When Kahless slew evil Molor dead!”, they sang as they carried their trophy from the hunt and placed it onto the kitchen counter .

Lady Vemka , R’yal and Korak all came into the kitchen to see the Targ . “Ahh , that is a fine kill you two ! You will have meat in cold storage for months! Come lets open a bottle of Blood Wine to celebrate ! I have some news that may be of interest to you Kor’Tar .” Uncle Korak said .

Kor’Tar joined Korak in the dining room with a bottle of Blood Wine while Terla , Lady Vemka , and R’yal all worked on cleaning and preapring parts of the Targ to eat and other parts to store .

“What news do you have Uncle ?” Kor’Tar inquired as he sipped Blood Wine from his cup.

“I have been contacted by General Len’mot of the Imperial Fleet , and he has authurized me to offer you a command within the Empire . You will have command of a Squadron of ships from your flagship . You will be able to fight in battles others can only dream of, think of it Kor’Tar! The honor and glory that await you! The General will be visiting here with you this afternoon ” , Korak said as his voice raised with excitement .

Kor’Tar was about to speak when Lady Vemka came in from the kitchen .

“Kor’Tar, you have an incoming transmission from Starfleet Command , it’s Admiral Callhan !” Vemka said .

“Thank you mother ! I’ll take it in my room!” Kor’Tar said .

Kor’Tar excused himself from the table and headed down the hallway to his old bedroom and sat at the old desk he spent so many afternoons and evenings studying for his exams at . All feelings of nostalgia were quicly washed away as he activated the terminal And Admiral Callahn’s grizzled face appeared .

“Good morning you old war-dog ! Have you made a decision on your career yet?” The Admiral asked .

“Good morning Admiral . No I’m still trying to decide , and I thought I had 3 weeks to make the decision . I still have a week left of shore leave , what’s the rush?” Kor’Tar asked .

“More Romulan refugees are turning up all over the place , since the Kahless is the closet starship to the Romulan / Klingon border it has been assigned as the command ship in charge of gathering the Romulan refugees and transporting them to Starbase 375 for processing . We are working in full cooroperation with the Klingon Empired and what is left of the Romulan government . I’m sorry to put this on your Kor’Tar , but I’ll need your decision by 1600 hours . Callahan out .” The screen switched off and Kor’Tar was left staring at his own reflection .

Kor’Tar hit the intercomm button on his desk , “Terla , join me in here . I need your help to decide something .”

The clock on the shuttlecraft read 1545 hours as Admiral Harry Callahan piloted it to the landing pad on top of the B’RoQ estate house , he noted the Imperial shuttle which landed next to his shuttle on the landing pad .

“This should be interesting .” he said to noone in particular .

He exited the side door and stepped out when his eyes landed on the Klingon coming out from the Imperial shuttle .

“General Len’mot! Sonuvabitch! It is you!” Callahan said with exuberance as the to old cold warriors traded war stories on the way to the entryway into the house .

Kor’Tar and Terla both emerged from his bedroom and made their way down the hall to the dining room where they found Admial Callahan , General Len’mot , Lady Vemka , R’yal , and Uncle Korak all talking , which stopped as soon as they noticed Kor’Tar standing there .

Kor’Tar looked at the General and Admiral as they both studied him intently . “I’d like to thank you both for coming to meet with me personally . General Len’mot it is an honor to finally meet you , yours is name well known throughout the empire . Admiral you of course have had many successful campaigns during your career .” Kor’Tar began , then he paused .

“I am honored to be up for consideration as a Sqaudron commander , but I am and have been an explorer , I cannot just turn my back on a career I have spent so long building . Thank you for your consideration General Len’mot but I must decline your offer .” Kor’Tar said .

“Very well Kor’Tar , I will honor your wishes , Qa’Pla!” General Lenmot said then he left for his shuttle .

Admiral Callahan grinned from ear to ear at his small victory , “ I’m glad you decided to stay with Starfleet Kor’Tar !”

“Don’t crack open the bubbly just yet Admiral . Terla and I were talking , and we would like to stay together , so where I go she goes . Would you have a problem with my mate staying with me while on board the Federation’s flagship for the Klingon sector?” Kor’Tar asked while eyeing the Admiral.

“Hell no I don’t have a problem with it Kor’Tar! I’m surprised you’d even ask! Terla is more than welcome to stay on board with you as a Strategic Operations officer and representive for the Empire!” Harry said while clapping his hand on Kor’Tar’s back .

Kor’Tar and Terla materialized in the transporter room of the U.S.S. Kahless along with Terla’s belongings which were packed into 6 brown crates with Klingon lettering on them .

They were greeted by Dr. Marcus Binion and Commander Billy O’Dell .

“Welcome back sir!” Billy said with glee as he gave Kor’Tar a bear hug .

Crewmen came and began carrying the Crates down to Kor’Tar’s quarters which he and Terla would now share , thankfully the walls being moveable , allowed them to remove one wall with ease to double the size of the living space within .

Kor’Tar changed out of his klingon garb and back into his standard duty uniform and he placed his baldric around his shoulders . He looked at himself in the mirror and noticed Terla gazing at him , so he turned around and asked her , “So what do you think?”

She stood up from the bed and walked around Kor’Tar , looking him up and down in the Starfleet uniform . She groped his rear .

“Very nice .” she purred , “when can I get one of my own to try on?” she cooed as she put her hands on his pecs.

Kor’Tar smirked and embraced her , “We’ll see if the quatermaster has something in your size at the end of our shift today, but right now we need to get on the bridge! . “ he said

Kor’Tar rode in the turbolift alongside Terla . The lift slowed and the doors opened . The entire senior staff was there and they all burst into applause as Kor’Tar and Terla entered the bridge .

Kor’Tar sat down in his chair , “Thank you everyone! Lt. Mendez , set a course for the Roumlan border, warp 6 . Keep sensors scanning for escape pods , dsitress calls and derelect starships ..” Kor’Tar ordered .

“Aye sir, course plotted .” Rosa said with a smaile through her thick Brooklyn accent .

Memories of the Futurecast Volume 10

Hello again followers of my bliggity blog . Yes it has now been a week since my last posting and there has still been no story involving Kor'Tar and company . Well , I've been stuck on ideas for that for one , and for two my middle name is procrastination (really it's Robert, hey look at that some of you learned something new! *ding!*) .

Further more I came down with a head cold yesterday afternoon which is kicking my ass , so .... while I sip some hot tea , and maybe some juice , and eat some soup , and watch some DVDs , I'll give you the latest chapter of Wil Wheaton's Memory of the Futurecast Volume 10 which takes on "Hide and Q" this week .

Yes it uses foul language of course so keep that in mind around those with tender ears .

Plenty of humor and fun to be had with this one as well , as well as copious amounts of bell ringing .

I don't recall the MB size of it but it does run for about 17 minutes , so it shouldn't crash your system , (I mean hell, I can download this and I have a 10 year old dell with very little memory space left)

So before I begin babbling any more than I should here's the link before I forget it .

Memories of the Futurecast Volume 9

So after working a 14 hour day at the local elections office , aka a methodist church's activity room . I am totally and completely zapped for energy today , which means I'd really love to take Kor'Tar and Terla and the rest of my U.S.s. Kahless action figures off the shelf and preform another act in their story , but my mind has turned to putty , a very , un-silly putty to boot , more like zombie putty , mmmmmm...brains.....what was I saying?

Oh yeah .... so instead , to give everyone another tastytreat for the ears , I am linking to Wil wheaton's latest Memories of the Futurescast which takes on "The Battle"

Many F-bombs are dropped in this one and other NSFW refrences so needless to say , if you know anyone who is easily offended or have kiddies around , leave the headphones plugged in to your speakers .

I think this weighs in at around 14 ish MB

and I think it runs for about 20 odd minutes there abouts

So strap in , lay back in your easy chair pop some popcorn , get your soda pop , or favorite adult beverage going , and prepare to be entertained by Uncle Willie!
